Oticon More is the world’s first hearing aid to give the brain the full perspective. This is thanks to a breakthrough in hearing aid technology like nothing before – a highly intelligent Deep Neural Network.

Why is Oticon More trained with 12 million real-life sound scenes?

Until now, sound processing systems have been designed using theoretical models and man-made hypotheses of how to best enhance speech and reduce background noise.

But Oticon More hearing aids debut a new hearing aid technology – the Deep Neural Network (DNN) – that mimics the way the brain functions.

How did we get 12 million sound scenes into Oticon More?

We broke out of the lab

We went out into the real world with a 360° spherical microphone to collect sounds from real-life situations.

The Deep Neural Network is part of a fundamentally new approach to sound processing

To deliver the full sound scene, we have completely redefined the way we process sounds.

  • We recorded sounds from real life using a 360° spherical microphone.

  • We used the recorded sounds to train the Deep Neural Network (DNN), teaching it to recognize them.

  • The DNN is part of MoreSound Intelligence™, which gives precise analysis and balancing of the full sound scene.

  • Rapid, high-resolution amplification follows changes in the sound scene: MoreSound Amplifier™

Welcoming two groundbreaking new hearing aid technologies

Our new approach enables us to launch two new hearing aid features that ensure the full sound scene is processed and amplified precisely: More Sound Intelligence and MoreSound Amplifier.

MoreSound Intelligence

A quantum leap in sound scene processing

Oticon More features the latest hearing aid technology – MoreSound Intelligence – which captures and optimizes sounds. This provides access to the complete sound scene, where individual sounds stand out in clear contrast to each other.

MoreSound Amplifier

Giving precisely balanced amplification of every sound

MoreSound Amplifier is our newest hearing aid technology – a trailblazing, balanced amplification system. It works precisely and quickly to ensure that important details and dynamics are made audible and available for people with hearing loss.

The Polaris platform is the backbone of Oticon More. It is purpose-built for hearing aids. This focused approach allows it to constantly run a trained Deep Neural Network while powering all the hearing aid technology advances in Oticon More with more speed, precision, and capacity than was ever possible before3.

  • 16 times more capacity to execute advanced algorithms4

  • Intelligent use of industry-leading 64-channel processing

  • Twice as much computation capacity and speed4

  • Deep Neural Network processing

  • Double the precision in 1.5-5kHz frequency bands4
