With Oticon Phone Adapter you can use your hearing aids as a headset and Oticon ConnectClip – which you attach to your clothes - as a microphone. This means you can make hands-free calls from your landline. The solution works both for incoming and outgoing calls.

Here’s how to get up and running:

1. Connect Phone Adapter to your landline phone

2. Pair Phone Adapter to ConnectClip

3. Pair ConnectClip to your hearing aids

If your hearing aids do not have Bluetooth technology, you will need to use Oticon Streamer Pro and Phone Adapter to have hands-free phone calls through your landline. Once set up, the configuration allows for both making and receiving calls.

You will first need to be issued a Streamer Pro by your hearing care professional, who will pair it to your hearing aids.

With ConnectLine Phone Adapter you can use your hearing aids as a headset and Streamer Pro, which you wear around your neck, as a microphone.

With this set-up you can enjoy the freedom of hands-free conversations with friends, family or colleagues.

To get started, you need to make sure you are near a power outlet. You also need to make sure you can reach your landline phone or base station; and that you have the phone cord that came with the ConnectLine Phone Adapter ready.

1. Connect Phone Adapter to a power outlet.

2. Disconnect the phone line from the landline phone or base station.

3. Plug the phone line into the Phone Adapter ‘IN’ connection socket.

4. Plug the supplied phone cord into the Phone Adapter ‘OUT’ connector and into the landline socket on your phone or base station.

5. Now lift the handset from your landline phone. You should be able to hear the dial tone.

6. Now you’ll need to pair Streamer Pro with your Phone Adapter.

With your hearing aids connected to the landline using Phone Adapter and Streamer Pro, you are ready to make or take calls.


Here’s what you can expect when a call comes in:

1. When a call comes in, you’ll hear an incoming call alert in your hearing aids.

2. The phone indicator light on Phone Adapter will flash green.

3. On your Streamer Pro, the green light on the phone button and the status indicator will start to flash green.


How to answer a hands-free call:

1. Briefly press the phone button on Streamer Pro to accept an incoming call from your landline.

2. You will then hear a small confirmation beep in your hearing aids.

3. The green lights on Phone Adapter and Streamer Pro will stop flashing and become fully illuminated.

4. You are now connected to the person making the call and can move about freely while you are conversing.


How to end a hands-free call:

When it’s time to end the call, simply press the illuminated green phone button on Streamer Pro. The line will be disconnected.

How to answer and end an incoming call

Want to make a call to someone? Here’s how to dial out using your Oticon hands-free configuration:


1. Briefly press Streamer Pro’s phone button.

The line is now active and you will hear a dial tone in your hearing aids.

The phone button on Streamer Pro and the phone indicator on Phone Adapter will illuminate green.


2. Pick up your phone’s handset - or press ‘call’ on a portable phone.

Then dial the number as you would normally do to make a call. You will hear the call tone in your hearing aids indicating that the call is now connected.


3. Replace the handset back into its cradle - or press ‘end call’ on a portable phone.

Don’t worry, this will not disconnect you. It’s important to make sure you replace the handset properly; otherwise the phone will remain engaged and unable to receive future calls.


4. Your call will be connected once the recipient picks up.

To end the call:

When you’re ready to end the call, simply press the green phone button on your Streamer Pro.

You are now disconnected.
